NEWELL, MRS. JANE W. (nee Brown) - At her home in Decatur, Ill., on the 3d ult., of neuralgia of the stomach, Mrs. Jane W. Newell, aged 55 years. Mrs. Newell was born in Troy, Ohio, May 22, 1821, and was the daughter of the late Wm. Brown--sister of Mrs. Jos. Bains. She was married in 1841 to Mr. Richard A. Newell. Her death was sudden--only a few hours sickness--and her loss is deplored not only at her late residence, Decatur, but by a large circle of friends in this place, where she was well known and respected.
