January 22, 1876 

PAUL, LOUIS - Mr. Louis Paul, proprietor of the Galt House, Troy, died on Friday of last week, after an illness of several weeks.  Mr. Paul was a soldier in the war of the Rebellion, a member of Capt. Kramer's Co., 71st O. V. I.  His funeral took place on Sunday afternoon at which time he was buried with Military honors, the Red Men, Band, Firemen and Military participating.
