SEDGEWICK, HATTIE - Yesterday's Sensation! - Another Tragedy - A Young Woman Found Dead Yesterday Afternoon in Troy--Pierced by a Bullet. - Was it Suicide or Murder? - Shortly after noon yesterday rumor of another tragedy in Troy was circulated on the streets.  Subsequent inquiry confirmed the report.  A young mulatto woman--Hattie Sedgewick--the woman who was married a few weeks ago to a white man--was found dead in her room.  The house is No. 605 Union street--situated between the Race and the canal.  When the woman was found she was lying across the bed, her legs dangling to the floor, her clothing on fire, and a pistol ball in her breast.  The news was first communicated to some women in the neighborhood by the husband of the dead woman, who said that on returning home he had found the door locked, and bursting it open discovered his wife in a dying condition.  He immediately started to give the alarm.  All manner of rumors were immediately set afloat as to the occurrence.  Circumstances led to the arrest of the woman's husband who was committed to jail for hearing to-day.  The Coroner was summoned and a jury impanelled, and at a late hour last evening they were still hearing testimony.  Appearances seem to indicate a case of suicide.  The wound was in the breast just below the breast-bone.  The weapon used was a small four-barrelled pistol of about 22 calibre.
