SKINNER, EDWARD - In this town, on Wednesday morning last, after an illness of a few days, Mr. Edward Skinner, aged about 54 years. Mr. S. had been a resident of Troy about 19 years, and at the time of his death was a member of the Clothing Firm of Kauffman & Skinner. He was a member of the Protestant Episcopal Church, and for several years past has been a member of the Vestry of Trinity Church, Troy. Being a member of the I. O. O. F. he was buried by the order in accordance with the rules and customs thereof, yesterday afternoon.
Edward Skinner, born England 1823, died Troy March 1, 1876,
was a member of Company F, 71st OVI.
1861 to 1864Obituary does not mention this, he
is not listed in Miami County veterans grave registrations, and is not in
website Riverside veterans listing. Ohio Roster says at some point he was
detailed to the US Sanitary Commission.
