STEWART, MRS. MARY HAYES - Near Troy, at the residence of her son-in-law, on the 30th of September, Mrs. Mary Hayes Stewart. For fifty years and more she had lived the life of a consistent Christian, and devoted wife, and a most faithful mother. She leaves four children to mourn her loss; three sons and one daughter. They will never forget her parental counsels, nor her self-sacrificing, noble life. She served her Lord after the fashion of the older times. She prized the word of God, and means of grace in the sanctuary, above all earthly things. All good people are sad when such ancient land-marks are removed. D. T.
