SEAS, OLIVER - Distressing Accident - Soon after noon, last Friday, April 5, three little boys, sons of Mr. Jacob Seas, who lives three miles north east of Covington, aged five, seven, and nine years respectively, were playing in the woods adjoining the field where their father was plowing. As a matter of sport, the two elder boys were trying to push a stump over--about thirty feet in height and perhaps two feet in diameter. The rottenness of the wood near the roots enabled them to succeed; but the stump fell in a direction to them unexpected, and caught in its descent and instantly killed their youngest brother. A distressing and deplorable accident. The deceased, little Oliver, was an intelligent, promising child, and his agonized parents have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community, in this their great affliction.
