TURPEN, CORDELIA CATHERINE - Cordelia Catherine, daughter of Geo. H. and A. Turpen, was born April 9, 1853; and died at Versailles, Darke County, Ohio, Dec. 20, 1870, aged 17 years 8 months and 11 days. She was converted and joined the M. E. church, about 4 years ago; was loved by all. Her funeral was attended by a large concourse of people. The funeral sermon was by the writer, text, "For here we have no continuing city, but seek one to come". Hebrews, 13 chap, 14 verse. Many friends mourn her departure, but "all was well"! Reuben Rauch.
