PETTIT, HENRY J. - Occurred on Wednesday, January 28th. He has for many long months been confined in his house, patiently waiting the summons. He was a man much respected in this community, and his many friends, have proved the sincerity of their regard by patient and faithful watching and ministering at his sick bedside. His funeral will be at the Christian Church in this place on Sunday next, February 3d, at 2 o'clock P.M. Services by Rev. S. P. Carlton of Springfield.

PETTIT, HENRY J. - The funeral of Henry J. Pettit was at the Christian Church last Sunday. The sermon was by Rev. Mr. Carlton, and the house was filled with an attentive audience, Center Lodge, I. O. O. F., of which he was an honored member, had charge of the funeral ceremonies--and he was followed to the grave by members of that lodge and also by members of Troy lodge, and brethren from Addison, Tippecanoe City, Milton, and Piqua; and also the masons of Troy. The Troy silver Band led the long procession. He was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery.
