William J. Addington, a veteran of the civil war, died Friday at Bradford from a complication of kidney and other troubles. He had been in failing health for several years, but remained at work up until a few days before his death. Mr. Addington was a resident of the village for 25 years. He had a large circle of friends, particularly the older residents, and was highly esteemed for his fine qualities as a citizen and a man. For many years he was an active member of the M. E. church, the Jr. O. U. A. M. and the G. A. R. post of the village. Funeral services were held Sunday morning, with interment at Laura, where the Juniors gave their ritualistic service.
