DeWeese, Sylvester Miami Union 10/9/1919 Company E 71st OVI

Sylvester DeWeese, 80 years of age, died early Saturday morning at the Soldiers Home in Sandusky according to a telegram received from Dr. J.E. Hayes, by Leo Robbins of Piqua. The telegram does not state the time or the cause of death.

Mr. DeWeese has been at the home for the past 29 years, and was employed by Mr. Robbins previous to that time for many years. The body is to be brought to Piqua for burial at Forest Hill cemetery.

Mr. DeWeese is survived by a brother, living in Pemberton, Ohio, and a son, whose present location is unknown.
