Brandon, Richard W. Troy Daily News 2/1/1921 Company B 71^{st OVI}

R.W. Brandon died Sunday afternoon at 1:30 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Roel Raudabough in Covington.

Mr. Brandon had been failing for the last couple years. he was 85 years of age. He served in the Civil war as a corporal of Company B, 71st O.V.I. He was blinded while in action.

Surviving Mr. Brandon are seven children, Mrs. John Shettleworth and Mrs. William Shettleworth of Arcanum, Mrs. William Coated of Laura, Mrs. Roll Raudsbouth of Covington, Mrs. Elwood Thomas of Brazoria, Texas, Ira Brandon and William Brandon of Piqua.

Funeral arrangements cannot be completed until the arrival of Mrs. Thomas from Texas.
