Yet another of our pioneer citizens has been called to the eternal rest, after a long active life.

About 3:40 Thursday morning, Israel L. Davis passed pear fully into the last sleep. He had been in failing health all summer, suffering with dropsy, kidney trouble, and other ailments incident of old age, having passed the eightieth milestone just on week ago. Since October he has been confined to the house, patiently suffering and fully resigned to the inevitable, ready to go when the Master called.

Funeral services will be held at the home Saturday at 10, conducted by his pastor, Re. B.S. Nichols, interment at Pleasant Hill, in charge of Charles D. Miler.
