Harvey Craft, 85, retired farmer of Linden Avenue, Piqua died Thursday night at the how of this daughter Mrs. Horace Cromer in Fletcher. He had been ill only a short time. He was visiting the Cromer home.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Cromer residence in Fletcher with Rev. H. B. Parrott, pastor of the Union Baptist church in charge. Burial will be made in Forest Hill cemetery.
Mr. Craft was born and reared in Mercer County. He was a veteran of the Civil war and had been engaged in farming the greater part of his life. He retired from active farming 17 years ao and since that time had made his home in Piqua. As a young man he became a member of the Baptist church at Neptune, transferring his membership to the Union Baptist church southeast of Piqua , after the close of the war.
Besides his widow, he leaves seven children: Frank and Paul Craft, Mrs. William Morrow, Mrs. Frank Karnehm, and Miss Maud Craft , all of Piqua. Mrs. Cromer of Fletcher, and Mrs. John Elicker of Pleasant Hill.
