John M. Hetzler died after a lingering illness at this home on Favorite Hill,
Piqua, January 16, 1908. He was
born in Shelby County July 27, 1828 and united in marriage with Mary Jane
Webster, October 1, 1846, who survives him.
He served as a soldier in the 71st regiment in the Civil war.
The friends will leave the residence at 10 o’clock Saturday for Fletcher
where the funeral will be preached in the Baptist Church by Rev. J.W. Beck of
Piqua; burial in Fletcher cemetery.
