John Wilson John Wilson John was born in New Jersey, migrated from New Jersey to Washington County Pennsylvania, then to Kentucky, then to Ohio in 1796, locating first in Green County. He served as a private in the Virginia Militia under Captin Downing, and also served under George Rogers Clark. He was a member of the first Constitutional Convention as delegate from Hamilton County Ohio, of which the present Green County was then a part. He was one of the 34 signers. John came to Miami County Ohio and received a Land Patent on April 5, 1814 in Lostcreek Township. He died in Miami County and is said to be buried in the Lostcreek Cemetery. Return to the |
