William C. Bailey He enlisted in Alexandria Virginia on 4 Feb 1777 and served through successive re-enlistments for over 31 years as a non-commissioned officer. He was at the battles of Monmounth, Storming Of Stont Point, New York, and Siege of Yorktown. He joined General Anthony Wayne's Army at Pittsburgh and was in all of the principal battles with the Indians until the peace treaty. He was discharged on 2 July 1808. He is believed to be buried in the Raper Chapel Cemetery because he was a resident of Staunton Township, Miami County Ohio, when he died.
