JACKSON, JOHN W. - Quite a novel wedding transpired here on the 20th of last month.  Miss Mary Stillwell, who has been teaching the primary class of our school for the past two years, and a Mr. Jackson, also of this place, concluded that they have arrived unto that state wherein the poet describes as

Two minds with but a single thought,
Two hearts that beat as one."

and, as such, should be united in the "holy bonds of matrimony."  On the morning of the 20th Miss Stillwell announced to the children that there would be some distinguished visitors at the school room on that afternoon, and requested them, in behalf of their teacher to extend an invitation to their parents, to be also present, as they intended having a reunion and some little speaking.  The day was a delightful one and the room was comfortably filled.  Recitations and speaking commenced a little after one and continued until three, when the door was thrown open and the Rev. Mr. Bradly, accompanied by Mr. Jackson, entered the room.  Everybody was now on the "tip-toe of expectation," nor were they compelled long to remain in suspense.  Mr. Bradly in a few words explained to them the cause of their coming together, and proceeded to unite the two as one.  In the Bradford Items - April 12, 1873 (MU)

STILLWELL, MARY - Quite a novel wedding transpired here on the 20th of last month.  Miss Mollie Stillwell, who has been teaching the primary class of our school for the past two years, and a Mr. Jackson, also of this place, concluded that they have arrived unto that state where in the poet describes as

"Two minds with but a single thought,
Two hearts that beat as one."

and, as such, should be united in the "holy bonds of matrimony."  On the morning of the 20th Miss Stillwell announced to the children that there would be some distinguished visitors at the school room on that afternoon, and requested them, in behalf of their teacher to extend an invitation to their parents, to be also present, as they intended having a reunion and some little speaking.  The day was a delightful one and the room was comfortably filled.  Recitations and speaking commenced a little after one and continued until three, when the door was thrown open and the Rev Mr.
