DAVIS,
HENRY
-
Those present at the wedding of Henry Davis and Mary McClung, at the residence
of the bride's father, on the 1st inst., found it a most interesting and
delightful occasion. The feast itself was a sumptuous one, but the
interest centered in that young pair, reared from childhood among us, possessing
unblemished characters, members of the same church and models in everything for
our youth. Tears and smiles freely mingled on that festive occasion.
All who were present seemed to feel that they were giving up a beloved one from
their own family. Could Troy, instead of Kokomo, be the future home of
this young bride and bridegroom, then would it have been all smiles. But
they are well mated; we would not have it otherwise. May God bless them.

McCLUNG,
MARY
- Those present at the wedding of Henry Davis and Mary McClung, at the residence
of the bride's father, on the 1st inst., found it a most interesting and
delightful occasion.

Double Wedding - Took place at the Mulberry street M. E. Church, in Troy, on
Thursday evening. The parties were Mr. William K. Dunlap and Miss Emma M. Kreider, and Mr. Frank Sterrett and Miss Mabel Binkley. Dr. Crum,
Pastor, was the officiating clergyman. The church, although quite a large
one, was packed to its utmost capacity--the affair being one of the most
interesting that has ever taken place in Troy. After the close of the
ceremonies at the Church a large number of invited guests repaired to the
residences of the parents of the brides--many going first to one and then to the
other--where they had a "gay and festive" time, reaching as far into
the night as prudence would permit. Altogether it was one of the most
brilliant occasions of the kind that has ever been witnessed and enjoyed by the
youth and beauty of our town.
