Over two hundred guests repaired with the happy couple to the residence of the bride's mother; and here again the streets were found blocked up by a crowd anxious to see, and the police again had their hands full in clearing a passage way to the house. The presents to the bride--amounting to some $5000--were a sight to see.  June 18, 1868 (TT)

The crowd outside the church was far larger than within; and the police had their hands full in restraining their curiosity. Over two hundred guest repaired with the happy couple to the residence of the bride's mother; and here again the streets were found blocked up by a crowd anxious to see, and the police again had their hands full in clearing a passage way to the house.
