This cemetery is located in Bethel Twp., Range 9, Town 3, Section 34, on the east side of Route 235 and south of the town of New Carlisle. The Older section was originally called Honey Creek.
The New Carlisle Cemetery Association was organized October 3, 1856 and at that time added four acres to the original two acres used by the Honey Creek Presbyterian Church. According to Beer's history an additional seven acres were added by 1881. Today it is a very large cemetery and in use.
