RANDOLPH EX-SLAVES REUNION

Isham Randolph of Dayton has with the president, Fountain Randolph of Piqua, issued a call for the annual meeting and reunion of the Randolph association of Miami valley ex-slaves to be held at the Sidney, fairgrounds Thursday, July 27. Among the known survivors of the colony of 80 ex-slaves passing through this city in canal boats early iIn 1846 are: Oliver Jefferson of Ludlow Falls, aged 95; William Rial of Piqua, aged 87; Johnson Crowder of Piqua, aged 86; Nero Lee of Piqua, 84. There are now but 43 of the original 380 Randolph slaves that were brought to Ohio.
