BOOHER, WILLIAM - William Lee Booher, 82, departed this
life peacefully at home on Aug. 18, 2010, after a lengthy illness. He was
born on Christmas Day, 1927, to the late Howard and Treva Cost Booher. He
graduated from Tippecanoe High School in 1947 and married his high school
sweetheart, Norma Jean Fry, the following year. Bill retired after 33 years
of service as an employee of General Motors/Frigidaire. Bill and Norma
built their second house and moved to Covington, OH in November 1986. Bill
was a member of the Tipp City United Methodist Church. He embraced life,
loved animals and fishing, was an avid reader, but, most importantly, loved
his family. He was a good "ol" country boy and loved farm life. He was
happiest when spending time with all of his family and working outdoors.
May God hold him in the palm of His hand. We remember him with love and
celebrate his life. Bill leaves to cherish him a daughter, Sandee Reagan,
of Piqua; his son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Beth Booher of Covington;
grandson and wife, Rob and Jenn Reagan of Centerville, three grandsons:
Damen (and his mother Angie Murphy), Kyler and Seth; and 2
step-granddaughters, Kasey and Payge, as well as a brother, Ned, and his
wife Barbara (Sheerer) of Riverside, CA and a sister, Nancee, and her
husband, Paul Lingg, of Grand Saline, TX. He is further survived by nieces,
nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his wife and
parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Phillip. Graveside
services were held at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery in Covington on Aug. 21,
with Pastor Bonita Wood officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made in his name to the Good Will/Easter Seals of Miami Valley, Attn:
Talking Books, 1511 Kuntz Rd., Dayton OH 45404, and/or to any Hospice or
charity of your choice. Our family expresses their sincere appreciation and
thanks to everyone involved for their help, support and prayers. To send a
