PATTON, RONALD M. SR. - Ronald M. Patton, Sr., 70, of Tipp City, died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy after battling cancer since Aug. 2009. He was born May 27, 1939 in Fairfield to George and Betty (Smith) Patton. He was a concrete truck driver for Ernst Enterprises and a member of the Tippecanoe Eagles Lodge 2201. Ron is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marilyn (Magill) Patton; daughters, Lisa Patton of Tipp City, Teresa and Greg Nichols, of Troy; son, Ronald, Jr. and Holly Patton of Casstown; brothers, Larry Patton, Wayne Patton both of Dayton, Gary and Nancy Patton of Florida; sisters, Dianne Cox of North Carolina, Sandy and Harry Davis of Tennessee, Jeannie and Ronnie Lewis of Tennessee, three granddaughters, Allie, Jenna, Olivia; grandsons, Matt, Dustin and Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Denny Patton and brother-in-law, Palmer Cox. Funeral services were held April 23 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home followed by burial in Maple Hill Cemetery in Tipp City.
