BARRON, WILLIAM LAMAR JR. - William Lamar Barron Jr., 83, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. died Dec. 17, 2008. Mr. Barron was born March 15, 1925 in Memphis, Tenn., a son of the late Will and Ella Mooney Barron. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a salesman of fine church furniture and carpeting for many years. He is survived by his wife, Gwen Barron of Mt. Pleasant; three daughters, DeVonna and Brent Taylor of Huntsville, Ontario, Canada, Renee Nouvelle of Goose Creek, S.C., and Janny and Lee Zavakos of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Ernest Barron and wife Wylodean of Memphis, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Services were held Jan. 9 in Beaufort National Cemetery. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Mt. Pleasant Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial be made to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 187, Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
