SUSSMAN, WILBUR BARNETT - Wilbur Barnett Sussman, 77, formerly of Piqua and Clayton, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, in Chandler, Ariz.  He was a member of the Clayton Growers Association; secretary-treasurer of Wilshir Enterprises Inc. and was president of Sussman Inc., in Piqua.  He served with the U.S. Army Reserve.  He was elected the first finance manager and clerk of council for the city of Clayton 10 years ago when it became a city.  He was also a member of the Northmont Rotary Club, served as a Lt. Governor for the Optimist Clubs of Ohio, and was active in Northmont Optimists.  He was a member of Temple Israel and of Precious Blood Catholic Church.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children and grandchildren, Linda Sussman and Patricia Henry of Seattle, Wash., Ginger and Steve Reding and William, Anna and Max of Oakland, Calif., Scott and Jane Sussman, Megan and Mallory of Irving, Calif., Michelle Selby and Christopher of Chandler, Ariz., Michael Sussman and Jacob, Emily and Rachael of Brookville, Robert B. Sussman of Trotwood, and Larry Sussman and Caroline McIntier, Brittany and Samuel of Dayton.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Bessie Jaffe Sussman; and a brother, Samuel.  Services were held Dec. 26 at the Kindred Funeral Home, Englewood, with Father Bill O'Donnell and Rabbi Karen Bodney-Halasz officiating.  Interment was in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.kindredfuneralhome.com
