PHILLIPS, KENNETH L. - Kenneth L. Phillips, 86, formerly of Miles Avenue, Tipp City, Ohio, passed away at Troy Care & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness on February 12, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife Opal (Roller) Phillips, his parents Edward and Cora, his sister Hazel, and his brothers, Ralph and Norman. Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Barbara Drake of Indianapolis, Indiana; his step-daughters Susan Anthony and Jeanne Parker; his step-grandson, Cody Parker; his nieces Betty Rhoads and Patricia Rhoads; his nephews Charles E. Phillips Sr., and Leroy J. Phillips.  Kenneth was born on July 19, 1922 in Preble County, Ohio. He was an Army veteran and served our country during WWII.  He was a member of many service organizations in the local area, including the American Legion in Tipp City and Elk's Lodge in Troy. Visiting hours were at Frings & Bayliff Funeral Home, Tipp City from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM on February 15, 2009. There was a prayer service at 2:30 PM, followed by burial at Maple Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County in Kenneth's name.

PHILLIPS, KENNETH L. - Kenneth L. Phillips, 86, formerly of Tipp City, died Feb. 12, 2009 at Troy Care and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. He was born on July 19, 1922 in Preble County. He was an Army veteran and served during WWII. He was a member of many service organizations, including American Legion Post #586 in Tipp City and Elks Lodge in Troy. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Drake of Indianapolis, Ind., stepdaughters, Susan Anthony, Jeanne Parker; step-grand-son, Cody Parker; nieces, Betty Rhoads, Patricia Rhoads; nephews, Charles E. Phillips, Sr., and Leroy J. Phillips. He was preceded in death by his wife Opal (Roller) Phillips; his parents Edward and Cora Phillips; sister, Hazel; brothers, Ralph and Herman. Prayer service was held Feb. 17 at the Frings & Bayliff Funeral Home, Tipp City, followed by burial at Maple Hill Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County in Kenneth's name.
