GIBBEL, JACOB - Jacob Gibbel, 87, of Greenville, died Oct. 25, 2009 at Rest Haven. Mr. Gibbel was born in Burkes County, Penn. on Jan. 4, 1922, the son of the late Jacob D. and Lizzie A. (Hosetter) Gibbel. He was a member of the Palestine Old Brethren Church and retired as a heavy equipment operator at Miller Brothers. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Anna (Brumbaugh) Gibbel Oct. 24, 2007, brother, Rufus Gibbel; two sisters, Mae Meyers and Amy Kegerries. He is survived by daughter, Dixie and Duane Heisey of Pendleton, Ind.; son Richard and Barbara Gibbel of West Milton; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Services were held Oct. 29 at Kreitzer Funeral Home in Arcanum with Tom Royer officiating. Burial was in Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg.
