SPITLER, IRENE (NEE: SEASE) - Irene Spitler, 89, of Greenville, formerly of Arcanum died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009 at the Brethren's Home, Greenville. She was born Nov. 16, 1919 in Potsdam. She was a member of Potsdam Missionary Church and retired from Hobart Corp. in Troy. She was preceded in death by her parents Eli and Callie (Zumbrick) Sease, husband, Leo Spitler; son, Donald Spitler; sisters, Olive Riffell, Esther Sease and brother, Herschel Sease. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Lillie Spitler, Pitsburg; daughter and son -in-law, Connie and Vernon Meyer of Columbus; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Services were held Jan. 15 at Potsdam Missionary Church. Burial was in Mote Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Brethren Retirement Community, 750 Chestnut Cir., Greenville, 45331.
