STROUTH, DOROTHY E. (ELKINS) - Dorothy E. Strouth, age 82 of Tipp City, died Wednesday, April 23 at Spring Meade Health Care Center, Tipp City. She was born May 31, 1925 in Bristol, VA to Roy King and Bess (Torian) Elkins. Strouth formerly worked at Walker Clothing, Dayton; she was a member of the Tipp City United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star Tipp City; Newcomers Club; Tippecanoe Senior Citizens; and was a former Girl Scout Leader. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold B. Strouth in 1982 and one brother Robert Elkins. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Tamara Strouth, Wichita, KS and daughter Joy Poepsel, Chicago, IL: sister Shirley and her husband Carl Kelly, NC; grandsons Will and Joseph Strouth; and many, many nieces and nephews throughout the country. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 26 at the Tipp City United Methodist Church, corner of Third and Main St. Burial followed in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
