STICKLEY, DONALD EUGENE - Donald Eugene Stickley, 84, of Laura died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009 in Waipahu, Hawaii.  He was born Oct. 29, 1924 near Laura. Donald served in the US Army during World War II and was a graduate of Monroe High School and faithful attender of the Pleasant View Missionary Church and former member of the District Finance Board of Missionary Church.  He retired as a local farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman A. and Opal (Kress) Stickley; brother, Duane Stickley and sister Ruth Gnodle. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nova (Reck) Stickley, son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Karen Stickley, Laura; daughter, Donova Stickley, Washington Court House; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Dean Stickley, Englewood; sister, Olive Beanblossom, West Milton; Kathryn Mote, West Milton.  A celebration of the ceremony was held Jan. 10 at Pleasant View Missionary Church, Greenville with pastors Rob Dauber and Robert Kurtz officiating. Burial was in Mote Cemetery.
