THOMPSON, CATHERINE ELIZABETH NYE - Catherine E. Nye Thompson, 92, of Tipp City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at home with her family by her side. She was born October 7, 1916 in Dayton to the late Eleanora and Albert Hildebrand.　 She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Ralph E. Nye in 1976.　 She is survived by her husband Harold E. Thompson of 22 years, children: Phyllis and Donald Lawson of Tipp City, and Judy and Edwin Flora of Tipp City, Launa and Butch Peavley of Cincinnati, Marla and Larry Leasure of Troy, and Sandy and Brad Lane of Raleigh, NC.　She is also survived by her grandchildren: Beth and Joe Johnson of Dayton, Cindy and Peter Trick of Tipp City, Tracy Flora of Troy, and Michael and Diane Flora of Tipp City, Gene Lane of Raleigh, NC and Ben Lane of Raleigh, NC, 11 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.　 She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Tipp City and a lifetime member of the Eastern Star #307, Tipp City, OH.  Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Thursday at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home in Tipp City.　 Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday at Zion Lutheran Church in Tipp City with Pastor Steve Gellatly officiating.　The burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Donnelsville.　In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Miami County or Zion Lutheran Church.
