HURLEY, WAYNE SHERIDAN - Wayne Sheridan Hurley, 87, of West
Milton, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008 at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was
born May 13, 1921 in West Milton. He graduated with the Milton Union Class
of 1940 and served his country in the US Navy for six years. He retired
from Harrison Radiator in 1982 after 42 years, was past Patron of Eastern
Star Sharon Chapter 132 OES, American Legion Post 487, West Milton Lodge 577
F & A M and West Milton UCC. He was preceded in death by his father, William
H. Hurley and mother, Adelaide Dot (Boyd) Brinker. He is survived by his
loving wife, Ruth L. (Henizer) Hurley; son and daughter-in-law, Roger W. and
Penny Hurley of West Milton; daughters and sons-in-law, Judith A. and Harold
A. Moran, West Milton; Brenda L. and Wayne Harris, Tipp City; Linda L.
Hurley, Troy; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sister and
brother-in-law, Wilda M. and Richard Steiner, Palm Springs, Calif, and
nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Oct. 10 at Hale-Sarver
Funeral Home, West Milton with Rev. Mark Moore officiating, burial was in
Riverside Cemetery. Masonic services were held in the funeral home.
Military honors were held at the graveside. Contributions may be made to
Union Township Life Squad.
