TOOPS, WARREN G. - Warren G. Toops, age 86, of Huber
Heights, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital.
He was born Nov. 28, 1921 in Jamestown, Ohio, the son of Andrew & Icy
(Bennett) Toops. He was an Ordained Minister with the Wesleyan and Nazarene
Churches for 56 years, pastoring in Bradford, St. Marys, Weirton, VW, Tipp
City, Cedarville, and Dayton. He served God by building churches and
parsonages, but he always found time to fish and watch his favorite sports
teams. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Reecie Toops; 5
brothers; and 5 sisters. Survivors include his children, Tim (Connie) Toops
of Sarasota, FL and Linda (Roger) Lemasters of Gloucester, VA;
grandchildren, Scott (Kimberly), Michele (Jeffrey), Merrideth (Robert), and
Laura; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Pauline Paxson; and his brother, John
Toops. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 21 at Newcomer Funeral
Home & Crematory, Dayton. Interment followed at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp
