STUDEBAKER, SAMUEL S. JR. - Samuel S. Studebaker Jr., 84, of Tipp City, passed away Friday, June 13, 2008. He was born Dec. 22, 1923, in Troy, the son of the late Samuel Sr. & A. Marie (Shroyer) Studebaker. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a 4-H adviser for more than 25 years. He was a supervisor with the Miami County Soil & Water Conservation District. He was on the Miami County Planning Commission and Bethel Township Zoning Board. He worked the family farm his whole life. He is survived by a daughter, Sara (Susie) Studebaker and her husband, Jim Salamon, of Loveland; a sister, Nancy and Marvin Lynch of Bethel Township; a brother, John (Abe) and JoAnne Studebaker of Richland, Mich.; aunt, Patty Dinsmore of Indianapolis, Ind.; uncle, Walter Shroyer of Cincinnati; stepchildren, Terry, Barb, Dan and Becky Swaisgood; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Norma Jean (Martin) and Pauline (Wise) Studebaker; and a son, Larry Studebaker. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the funeral home, with Ralph Royce officiating. Burial followed in New Carlisle Cemetery.
