KROSS, ROBERT WILLIAM TALMAN - Robert William Talman Kross, 62, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital.  He was born Dec. 9, 1945 in Paterson, New Jersey, the son of Robert Talman and Frieda (Berry) Kross.  He retired in July 2006 from the General Motors Truck and Bus Plant (Moraine Engines) after 30 years service.  He was a member of the IUE Local in Dayton and was an Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam War.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and an uncle and aunt Fred and Carolyn Kross.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Connie (York) Kross, a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Ken Clack of Tipp City, Ohio; a son John Kross of Torrington, Wyoming, 5 grandchildren, Miranda and Madison Kross, Casey, Austin and Brayden Clack, cousin Peter (Peggy) Kross, of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, two sisters-in-law, Vickie (Gerald) Vagedes of Beavercreek, Debbie (Paul) Burns of TN., dear friends Lonnie and Sally White, of Xenia, numerous nieces and nephews.  In the spirit of giving and with his concern for the well-being of others, it was Bob's request that his body be donated to the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University.  A memorial service was held Jan. 5, 2008 at McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. John Lockwood officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Miami Valley Hospital Foundation Muller Catastrophic Fund, 1 Wyoming Street, Dayton, Ohio 45509 in his memory.
