KERR, RAYMOND E. - Raymond E. Kerr, 72, of Troy, passed
away at 6:15 a.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at his residence. He was born
Jan. 19, 1936, in Urbana, the son of the late Bert and Mary E. Brown Kerr.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty A. Collins Kerr. Other
survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathleen K. Lukens of Tipp
City and Sandra L. and Christopher Reynolds of Troy; five grandchildren,
Jamie Swafford of Troy, Jennifer Lukens of Fairborn, Amy Lukens of Oxford,
Celena Reynolds of Troy and B. J. Reynolds of Troy; and one
great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Swafford of Troy. He was preceded in death
by three sisters, Gladys Swank, Betty Wilcher and Jane Teem; and a
son-in-law, Edwin Lukens. He was a member of the Troy Fish and Game, Troy
Eagles and was an avid golfer at Miami Shores playing in Wednesday's Senior
League. He worked at Dinner Bell Foods for 35 years, then moved to Copeland
Corp. retiring in 1999. Services were held Saturday at Baird Funeral Home,
Troy, with Chaplain Richard Dunbar officiating. Burial followed at
Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of
