PUTNAM, PAUL (CLEM) - Paul (Clem) Putnam, 98, of St. Paris, died Sunday, Dec. 23 at Hospice of Dayton.  Putnam was born May 18, 1909 in Champaign County to J. Guy and Ella (Clem) Putnam.  Paul was a lifelong farmer, a lifetime member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Farm Bureau and was the past president of the Harrison Adams School Board in Rosewood.  His entire life he was passionate about poetry.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Evelyn Lucille (Friend) Putnam in 2002, his son Kermit Putnam, son-in-law Virgil Bair, and a granddaughter, Krista Putnam.  Surviving are his daughter Kay and her husband Fred Booher, Beavercreek; daughter-in-law Dolores (Putnam) Bair; grandchildren Katherine (Kent) Sommers of New Paris, Ind., Karen Putnam of Westerville, Kenneth (Tina) Putnam of Tipp City, Shawnie (Dan) Price of Montgomery, Ala., Donald (Kristen) Booher of Germantown; and 12 great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were Thursday at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home in Tipp City.  Contributions may be made to the Hospice of Dayton in memory of Paul.
