KNIFE, MILDRED E. (HARDY) - Mildred E. (Hardy) Knife, 78,
of Chardon, Ohio died Dec. 16, 2008. She was born Oct. 24. 1929 in Alliance
to the late Gaylen and Ellen (Grey) Hardy. She was a switchboard operator
for Hillcrest Hospital before retiring in 1992. She married Don W. Knife in
Tipp City. He preceded her in death in September 2007. She is survived by
daughters and sons-in-law, Dawne Ann and Keith Monroe of Portsmouth, Colleen
and Wayne Goebelt of Aquilla Village; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and
Beverly Knife of Alliance and Kevin and Erin Knife of Chardon; 14
grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild;
sister, Karen and Dennis Furguiele of Alliance. She was preceded in death
by her parents, husband and daughter Lynn Hejduk. Services were held Dec.
19 in Burr Funeral Home in Chardon. Burial in Chardon Center Cemetery.
