DUNLAP, MARY MARGUERITE (NEE: STONE) - Southport, N.C. -
Mary Marguerite Dunlap, 88, of Southport, N.C., formerly of Piqua, passed
away at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at Ocean Trail Nursing Center
following an extended illness. She was born Sept. 28, 1919, in Clark
County, to the late Jesse Robert and Maude (Smith) Stone. She married Carl
H. Dunlap on April 6, 1950, in Indiana; he preceded her in death Sept. 2,
1984. She is survived by her children, Dixie Smith of Piqua, Suzanne Swan
of Leland, N.C., Lori Mowery of Piqua, Roland (Shelley) Smith of Southport,
N.C., and Timothy (Bernice) Dunlap of Zion Grove, Pa.; sister-in-law, Sandra
Smith of Piqua; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one
great-great-grandchild; and one expected great-great-grandchild. She was
preceded in death by her daughter, Saundra Smith; son, Terry Lee Smith;
grandson, Dale Bashore; son-in-law, Brent Mowery; brothers, Forrest, Cecil
and Nelson Stone; and a sister, Maxine Shiltz. She was a lifetime member of
the Piqua Moose Lodge No. 1067 and also was a member of the Grandmother's
Club of Troy. She had attended the Troy Church of the Nazarene. She
retired from Allied Technology and Captor Corporation of Tipp City. She
enjoyed arts and crafts, making quilts and loved music and dancing. A
funeral service was conducted Tuesday at the Jamieson and Yannucci Funeral
Home with Pastor Ronald Barber officiating. Burial followed in Casstown
