BENNETT, MARY JANE - Mary Jane Bennett, 85, formerly of
Tipp City, died March 10, 2008, at her home in Perry, Florida. A
homemaker, Mrs. Bennett was the daughter of the late Edward Walker and
Edna Bain. She was a native of Covington, Ky., and had retired with her
late husband, Lyle H. Bennett, to Perry, Florida in 1986. She was a
member of the Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception as well as
the American Legion. Survivors include a son, Michael Bennett of
Zebulon, N.C.; four daughters, Pamela Hipshire of Troy, Theresa Stepp of
Keaton Beach, Florida, Melissa Maxwell of Bargersville, Ind., and
Jessica Pottenger of Casstown; 15 grandchildren and 18
great-grandchildren. There was a memorial service on March 14 in Perry,
Florida. The family is planning a memorial service at the Pottenger
home on the weekend of July 4th.
