STINE, LEE W. - New Carlisle - Lee W. Stine, 78, of New Carlisle, formerly of West Milton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at Grandview Hospital, Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents, William John and Verna (Pearson) Stine Brubaker; and his wife, Phyllis Jean (Boatman) Stine. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Terry Stine and Julie Richards of Tipp City, Dennis and Angie Stine of New Carlisle and Kent and Carmen Stine of Bradford; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Todd Painter of West Milton and Kay and Jimmy Schaar of Arcanum; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Stine of Sidney and David Stine of West Milton; and sisters, Barbara Hampton of Staunton, Darlene Hall of West Milton and Cathy Elifritz of Bradford. Lee served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a tool and die maker. He was a member of Eagles AERIE 2201 and VFW in Tipp City. Lee enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing and attended the Pleasant Hill Church of God. Funeral services were held Saturday, at Hale-Sarver Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St., West Milton, with the Rev. Scott Dean officiating. Burial followed with military honors will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington.
