SWIGART, KEVIN MICHAEL SR. - Kevin Michael Swigart Sr., age
49, passed away Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at his Potsdam home. He was born
Dec. 13, 1958, in Dayton, to Nevin & Sandra Swigart. He is survived by his
loving wife, Ann Swigart; son and daughter-in-law Kevin Michael, Jr. & Ruth
Swigart, Potsdam; daughter & son-in-law Jamie Louise & Ronald Bowling,
Englewood; brother Kent & Sue Swigart, West Milton; seven grandchildren;
stepson Randy Greeg, Ludlow Falls. Swigart graduated from Northmont High
School Class of 1977. He was the co-owner and Vice-President of Swigart
Electric Motors, Englewood, a third generation family company, and was a
former mayor and councilman of the Village of Potsdam. He had many hobbies
which included piloting and building planes, repairing and collecting steam
engines, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Funeral services will be held
10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at Hale-Sarver Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami
Street, West Milton. Rev. Robert Kurtz will officiate with interment
following at Mote Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m.
Wednesday at Hale-Sarver. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made
to Potsdam Church of the Brethren.
