BAILEY, KENNETH L. - Kenneth L. Bailey of Tipp City passed
away on January 10, 2008. Law was his passion. An ACTEC Fellow, he was
drawn to the complexities of estate planning. He brought enthusiasm and
excitement to the puzzles of his clients' needs and devoted his life to
helping them. A big thanks goes to his loyal office staff for their long
years of service. In his 50 years of practicing law, he had the honor to
work with many colleagues in this field and affiliated professions. He
admired them and enjoyed their camaraderie. The lunchtime Round Table at
The Bicycle Club was especially dear to his heart. His life's second
passion drew from his roots growing up in rural Auglaize County, Ohio. A
tree enthusiast, he studied rare and unusual specimens. When feasible, he
brought them to the 27 acre arboretum that he and his wife of 45 years,
Barbara Studebaker, designed at their home. Ken's family included children
Heather and Grant and their spouses Frank and Lesley. Grandchildren are
Connor, Quentin and Brooke. The caring nurses of Hospice of Dayton are owed
heartfelt thanks for their work. A celebration of Ken's life will be held
at The Schuster Center's Wintergarden atrium on Friday, Jan. 18. Clients,
friends and family are welcome. Informal visiting time begins at 3:30. At
5:30, they will gather to share memories of his life. Memorial
contributions can be made to Heifer International, P.O. Box 8058, Little
Rock, AR 72203.
