SHAFFER, JANICE FALKNOR - Janice Fulknor Shaffer, age 80 of
West Milton, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007 at Covington Care
Center. Shaffer had been a realtor for more than 21 years in the Miami and
Montgomery County areas. She was a member of the United Church of Christ of
West Milton and the Merry Grandmothers Club in West Milton. Janice was also
active with the Order of the Eastern Star, Sharon Chapter No. 132 and the
Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Ban Court Chapter No. 15. She is
survived by her husband of 60 years, Ralph Shaffer; daughters, Tanis Sue
Saul of Arizona, Peggy (Saul) and Edwin Lowther of West Milton, Gloria Jean
Wheelock of West Milton, Sharon Darlene Brooks of Pennsylvania;
grandchildren, Edwin Lowther III, Jacqueline (Jeff) Noll, Kristal (Chad)
Chester, Cynthia (Jerry) Hartman, Jami (Bill) Worden, Nick (Kim) Wheelock,
Daniel Reedy, Julie (Bill) Duncan; 18 great grandchildren; 12 great
great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; relatives; and friends. She was
preceded in death by her parents, Edgar S. and Roma Ann (Everett) Falknor;
sisters, Claire Swartz, Gertrude Kooglar; brother, Donald Falknor; and
granddaughter, Bonni Thiede. Funeral services were Saturday at the United
Church of Christ in West Milton. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery
in West Milton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
