SNYDER, GLEN A. - Glen A. Snyder, 70, of Tipp City, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008. Glen was born March 12, 1938, son of the late Howard and Mary Mae (Littler) Snyder and was preceded in death by his brother Dale Snyder. He was a graduate of Miami Central High School in 1956; a dedicated Paul Harris Fellowship member and former president 1974 and 2006 of the Vandalia Rotary Club with perfect attendance for more than 39 years; tour director for the past six years for the Miami County Traveler's; an avid participant of the Miami County Fair winning several awards for his various vegetables and fruits; 4-H adviser of 11 years for the Blue Banner 4-H Club. For many years he was widely known for his displays of Christmas lights at his home, receiving much community recognition. He is survived by Norreta (Hess) Snyder his High School sweetheart and loving wife of 52 years; children, Debbie and Gary Gardner of West Liberty, Allen and Barb Snyder of Huber Heights, Chad and Courtney Snyder of Tipp City; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild, sister Betty and Frank Bair of Casstown, and numerous friends and other loving family members. Services were held Sept. 29 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Rotary Foundation.
