KINGREY, GERALDINE ANN (NEE: ORTH) - Geraldine Ann Kingrey, age 77, of West Milton, passed away Friday, July 18, 2008, at Harborside Healthcare, Troy. She was born Sept. 21, 1930 in New Lebanon to Clifford & Iva (Spitler) Orth. She was a graduate of Milton-Union High School in 1948 and retired from the Hobart Corporation in 1995 after nearly 30 years of service. She was a member of the West Milton Senior Citizens, charter member of Good Shepard Lutheran Church and past choir director and organist, and was a 25-year Miami Co. 4-H advisor. Kingrey enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time with her family and following her grandchildren and great grandchildren in their sporting events and other activities. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 1/2 years Shirley Kingrey, Jr., and her parents. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Jeannine & Mike Daley, Morgantown, WV; Elaine & Mike Kirby, Fletcher, Carolyn Miller, West Milton; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Margaret Kingrey, Troy; Virginia Baxely, Raleigh, NC; Hannah Kingrey, Piqua; Harold & Ruby Kingrey, Covington, Sam Kingrey, Troy, Wes and Sandy Kingrey, Wilmington, NC. A special thank you to Harborside, Hospice of Miami County, and the Dialysis Center in Troy. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 22, at Good Shepard Lutheran Church. Pastor Brian Peterson and Pastor John Johansen officiated with interment following at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepard Lutheran Church or to the Union Township Life Squad in Geraldine's name.
