BOEHMAN, CHARLES - Charles Boehman, age 80 of Butler
Township died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008. He was born on January 20, 1928. He
served in the U.S. Army during the period of the occupation of Japan. He
was a 1959 graduate of Xavier University and an active member of the Church
of the Transfiguration in West Milton. He is survived by daughters and
sons-in-law, Charlette & Robert Buescher of Kettering; Toni & Stephen Imhoit
of Vandalia, Bernie & Douglas Shinkle of IN,; Anna & Matthew Tracy of
Vandalia; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph & Jennifer Boehman of VA; his
grandchildren who will sorely miss him include, Jessica Buescher, Matthew,
Megan and Rebecca Imhoit, Julia (Chris) Imhoit Malak ; Laura (Troy) Shinkle;
Wilkinson and Daniel Shinkle, Gregory, Katherine and Abigail Tracy, Sydney
Boehman, and his great granddaughter Makiah Shinkle. Charles also leaves
behind his sisters and brother, Mary Westrich, Father John Boehman, OFM, and
Joan (Joseph) Espel, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded
in death by his wife of 56 years, Martha (Gressel) Boehman; parents, Charles
and Louise (Herbert) Boehman and granddaughter, Kerri Ann Imhoit. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be said at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug 14 at the Church
of the Transfiguration (972 S. Miami St., West Milton) with Father John
Boehman as celebrant. Interment will follow the Mass at Forest Hills
Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 9:30 to
10:30 a.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) prior to
Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of
Dayton or the Church of the Transfiguration.
