THOMAS, CAROLINE JOY (TURNER) - Troy - Caroline Joy Thomas,
76, of Troy, passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 22,
2008. She was born Dec. 17, 1931, in Pollock, S.D. to the late Rev. H. H.
and Vera (Osborne) Turner. She is survived by her husband, John O. Thomas;
three daughters, Teresa Reed of Tipp City, Pennie and Tom Barlow of Conway,
Ark., and Jamie and Bob Stafford of Fairmount, Ind.,; four grandchildren,
Amy and Chris Long of Tipp City, Michael and Lisa Meredith of Tipp City, Ben
and Tracy Meredith of Huntersville, N. C., and Janessa and Drew Berry of
Little Rock, Ark.; eight great-grandchildren; three stepdaughters, Jackie
and Tom Reed, Susan and Mark Lee and Kathie and Dan Carmichael, all living
outside of Ohio; and three sisters, Evangeline and Wes McIntyre, Betty and
Ed Fitzgerald and Joan and Jack Hudson. She was preceded in death by her
parents and six brothers. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. May 3 at the
Ginghamsburg Methodist Church Disciple Center. Following the service, there
will be a meal. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Carol
Thomas to Hospice of Miami County Inc., P.O. Box 502, Troy, OH 45373.
