GENTRY, DARWIN - Darwin Gentry, age 89, of Tipp City died Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. He was born Sept. 24, 1915 in Cookeville, Tenn. to Willie and Emma (Stone) Gentry. He was a minister in the First Church of God for over 35 years and pastored churches in Ohio, Georgia and Tennessee. Gentry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Buna Vesta Gentry; brothers, Kermit, Joe and Talmadge; sister, Juanita Gentry. He is survived by his children Vernon and his wife, Doris Gentry, Tipp City; Joan and her husband Richard Bibb, Vandalia; Bill and his wife Jackie Gentry, Indianapolis, IN; and Terry Gentry, Tipp City; eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Friday at the Tipp City Church of the Nazarene. Pastors Norman Livingston and Bradley Warkentine officiating with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home.
