BOWERS, HORACE A. - age 85, formerly of Tipp City,
Ohio, died at the Villa Convalescent Center, Troy, Wednesday. He was a
retired Frigidaire employee & farmer. He was a member of the U. S. Navy
WWI, member of the Brandt Lutheran Church. Survived by 2 sons Lester of
Troy and Myron of New Carlisle, 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild,
sister Mrs. Clara Evans, Calif. Services will be held at 10:30 AM
Saturday at the Trostel-Chapman Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Rev. Joyce
Maddux officiating. Visitation Friday 4 PM. Burial Glen Haven
Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Brandt Lutheran Church in
lieu of flowers.

BOWERS, HORACE A. - Horace A. Bowers, 85, formerly of
Bethel Township, died July 8 at the Villa Convalescent Center in Troy.
Born in Donnelsville, Ohio, March 9, 1896, he was the son of William and
Matilda (Borchers) Bowers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma
in October of 1965. He is survived by his sons, Lester of Troy and
Myron of New Carlisle; his sister, Mrs. Clara Evans of California; and
six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was a member of the
United States Navy during World War One, a retired Frigidaire employee
and farmer and a member of the Brandt Lutheran Church. Services were
held Saturday at the Trostel-Chapman Funeral Home in New Carlisle.
Burial was at Glen Haven Cemetery. Services were conducted by the Rev.
Joyce Maddux. Contributions to the Brandt Lutheran Church can be made
in lieu of flowers.
